Blow-In-Blanket® System

The patented Blow-In-Blanket® system of blowing loose-fill insulation behind netting uses specific installation techniques. Only qualified installers who have completed the "Installer Certification Training Program” can apply the BIB product.
Johns Manville’s formaldehyde-free Climate Pro® blowing wool is an approved insulation product for this system. BIB fills gaps and voids for thermal efficiency. Members Interior frequently uses this system to insulate homes seeking an Energy Star qualification. For specification information on Blow-In-Blanket®, CLICK HERE and search for Blow-In-Blanket.
Cellulose Insulation
Cellulose insulation can be blown into walls of existing homes. Many older homes were built without installing wall insulation. Holes are drilled into each stud cavity and then blown full with cellulose. At windows, holes are drilled above and below windows to fill all cavity spaces. Cellulose is made from recycled newsprint and other recycled paper and treated with non-toxic fire retardants.
Members Interior is a North Carolina CERTIFIED LEAD RENOVATION FIRM and can safely set up your job to confine and remove any lead dust when drilling through walls of older homes and buildings.
Air Sealing
Caulking and use of low-expansion foam stops air infiltration and makes the difference between an okay insulation job and an excellent insulation job. Caulking is applied to all multiple wood-framing joints and foam is applied to all necessary areas such as around windows and doors and behind receptacles.
